• Responsible for Tool Design, review, approval, revisions and obsolescence.
• Responsible for part design including material type, CAD data, DWG and implementation of all engineering changes related.
• Develop component and assembly drawings including negotiating customer specifications.
• Assure product design meets internal/external specifications.
• Develop appropriate specs, test procedures to validate a product, evaluate corresponding test results.
• VA/VE and development techniques to advance the company's competitive position.
• Acts as liaison with customer program development teams, maintain awareness of competitive activities.
• Assists internal purchasing to estimate costs for new products where applicable.
• Assesses supplier design and review related engineering changes.
• Participate within the contract review process.
• Assigns BOM's (Bill of Materials) maintenance to support materials requirements planning (MRP)
• Assists manufacturing, related to troubleshooting.
• Assure proper records are maintained in support of APQP.
• Participate in customer presentations. Prepares appropriate data/samples.


• Electrical/Mechanical Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of relative experience.
• Must be familiar with plant equipment for processing, testing, and inspecting product components /assemblies.
• Must be familiar with customers quality/manufacturing/engineering methods and practices.
• Must be able to communicate technical information received or issued accurately by in/external customers or suppliers. eg. Material specifications, testing methods, schedules, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, layouts, system diagrams, engineering drawings.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office software.
• Willingness to travel as required.
