PURPOSE:

 

Analyzing customer and prospect needs and establish selling strategies and tactics aimed at expanding IGB Automotive's existing customer base by participating in sales via door-to-door canvassing, appointment/referrals, telephone contact through warm and cold calls, trade shows, etc.     

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Prime responsibility is the direct contact to all customers on IGB Automotives behalf, pertaining to all aspects of sales.
  • Sells (including presentations) products/services requiring knowledge of a technical product design/performance features to specific accounts and provides ongoing service and follow-up.
  • Calls on key accounts to cultivate relationships, identify opportunities and increase sales.
  • Works on quotes and presents quotes to the customer.
  • Ensures all applicable documents and or forms accompany internal/external RFQ's with appropriate signature.
  • Participates in the assessment of new product ideas, feasibility studies and marketing strategies.
  • Estimate sales volumes, product mix, market share and monitor account performance.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure rate requests are followed up and required loading are completed in the timeframe that is acceptable to the customer.
  • Update and maintain online quoting systems.
  • Manage customers that exceed demand and or deliverables.
  • Supports Finance with Commercial issues.
  • Report on and keep informed of competitive activities.
  • Reviews and approves sales contracts and resolves discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with program management as necessary to ensure smooth transition.
  • Maintains records and reports in a concise manner, updates documentation.
  • Actively participates in the attainment and/or maintenance of quality standards certification.
  • Fulfills responsibilities upholding health & safety policy and legislation.
  • Must work as a team player and maintain good employee relations.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Completes any other related assignments, duties and projects that may be assigned.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information received from the customer/company

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • More than 5 years automotive experience
  • Stronge technical knowledge of product and manufacturing systems.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Business Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft office software.
