To assist with the selection, monitoring and continuous improvement of the Supply Base.


  • Apply PPAP and APQP standards to approving new material or changes to materials within an assigned commodity.
  • Approve suppliers according to IGB Automotive's sourcing process.
  • Participate in defining material specifications with Engineering, Purchasing and Supplier.
  • Establish Supplier development programs at respective suppliers within the assigned commodity and follow up with corrective actions and result.
  • Perform suppler audits in accordance with our sourcing process and/or supplier development programs, thus educating the suppliers on IGB Automotive Requirements and executing supplier rating.
  • Create an escalation process in the case of ongoing supplier quality issues, ongoing poor supplier rating and or uncooperative suppliers.
  • Define necessary actions for early production containment.
  • Establish continuous improvement programs with suppliers.
  • Retain and track supplier records.
  • Track, update and report relevant KPI's.
  • Assist with Supplier Nonconformance.
  • Participate activity in the attainment of Quality Standard Certification.
  • Use of all prescribed safety equipment and implementation of safe work practices.
  • Must work as a team player and maintain good employee relations.
  • Attend employee and departmental meetings as required.
  • Adhere to all company policies and practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information received from the customer/company.
  • Maintain good public relationships.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.


  • BS in Engineering or Quality Desired. Equivalent experience will be considered,
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality with a minimum of 3 years in automotive,
  • Internal Quality Standard Auditor Certifications,
  • Knowledge of statistical process control techniques and other quality measurement and control skills,
  • Knowledge of specifications of products, components and raw materials,
  • Knowledge of safety and workplace hazardous materials procedures,
  • Knowledge of PPAP, Control Plans and FMEAs,
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill,
  • Technical knowledge of company's production processes & drawings,
  • Capable of working with a team,
  • Good mathematics and measurement skills,
  • Computer literacy is a must,
  • Ability to travel to either domestic or international locations, 35%
  • Spanish or Mandarin Speaking Desired.
